Dr. Antonio Satta In the spring of
1995 is been born the plan of the Biennial "painting Prize of the Padrese
Landscape - ISLANDS" having the scope to evidence the importance of the painting
in a generalized manner, and in particular that one dedicated to the padrese landscape.
"The Prize" is meant like an encounter of artists, becomed
for some day in one enough small communitarian contest, but for some reason emblematic,
assumed specimen of a immenser world.
The manifestation that is carried
out to biennial expiration, articulated rigorously to invites, it assumes the
title of " ISLANDS ", since it opens to the comparison and the dialogue
with near contests, pointed out in the wide sea that it encircles the Sardinia,
like the island of Corsica, the island of Malta and the island of Ibiza. One thinks
of it both an occasion of integration and a cultural exchange to various, but
joined Nations for traditions, spirit and culture.
Every edition artists
between the more prestigious names of the two Islands, chosen and selected from
appropriate giurie, are confronted. These will have to study the campaign in which
it is dipped the Town of Padru, "roughing out " their pictures from
life and fulfilling them in means to a nature as soon as touched from the presence
of the man.
The hosts it is asked for put themselves to the test with
the fascination of the landscape Sardinian-Padrese, favoring at the same time
moments of argument and common job. The landscape of the padrese territory wants,
in fact, to become pretest of art work, considered also the several seasonal changeability
typical of the Island.
The works is judged from one jury composed from
personality of the world of the artistic culture, between which: University teacher,
Heads of Institutes of Art, Directors of Galleries of Art, Critics of Art and
Journalists of both the islands.
To the Artists participants to the
Prize, one offers food and lodging, while travel expenses are to them loaded.
Regarding expenses of travel, food and lodging the members of the jury and the
chairmans, are loaded to the Communal Administration of Padru.
During
the same manifestation one rewards the best work between the emerged local painters.
