In Padru we find this particular vine, less known in Sardinia; in fact it finds its natural habitat in Liguria, and Tuscany more just in the island of Elba. The reason for which we find again it to Padru and Sotza is probably from searching in the migratory phenomenon from part of the woodmen from Tuscany that between the end of 1800's and the beginnings of 1900's, camed in Sardinia in order to cut the forests, from whose it realized "sa che" from which then it gained the coal. One thinks that they were just the woodmen from Tuscany to introduce the aleatico in this part of the Gallura.

Currently we have not informations about the cultivation of this vine in other zones of the Sardinia, exception made for Ozieri, where a plot of ground is found, that in origin it belonged to a judge who carried out its functions in Liguria. Therefore the aleatico of Ozieri has origin from Liguria.

Until the first years the eighty cultivation of the aleatico it happened with the same methods used in passed: the grapes came then cultured and placed to wither for 15 days on of canes field, after that were proceeded to their tamping. A liqueur-like wine was gained, of singular taste and fragrance.
Such methodology at this point is not still used, even if it is not modified the taste of the aleatico.
Of usual the grapes come picked when grapes are nearly passiti, the obtained wine are much cake, the taste remember that one of the grape pass and of the dried fig, its consistency is very dense, so that during the decanting slides very slowly along the aspiration pump.

This wine is offered in particular occasions, because its meager production, in order not to risk of having to renounce of all to the pleasant tasting of a wine therefore.

In a recent times it was cultivated from the greater part of the wine grower of Sotza, but its limited yield it has discouraged many, a lot that the last producers to having a great demand from several parts of the Sardinia were the Mudulu siblings, and the Giua siblings.

Currently to produce a most limited amount of this characteristic wine they are also Marco Loi, Carmine Sau, Antonio Corda and Antonio Murrighile.
To acquiring some bottle only Giua and Sau they will be able to satisfy this desire, prenoting it immediately after the grape harvest since to the beginning of the year it is already unavailable.
